Frisbee in hand, Adrian Ryan ’11 came to Cross Campus Thursday afternoon prepared to play in the sun. For those of you who haven’t made it back to New Haven yet, the past two days have been absolutely beautiful — the daffodils are even in bloom! It would be an understatement to say that for the last two days, Adrian’s aviators have been useful.

While we’re on the topic of accessories, Adrian’s messenger bag, tossed to the side while he plays frisbee, is well-worn. But despite its strap held on by two carabiners, the bag adds to, rather than detracts from, the chic. Apparently, back when Banana Republic had a more rustic safari tone, the store sold these replicas of Israeli paratrooper bags. It’s been a while since these bags have been produced, though — that probably explains why this bag looks so veteran.

Adrian’s Adidas sneakers, on the other hand, apparently aren’t so good for Frisbee practice. “My shoes are too flat,” Adrian complained as he slipped on the spongy grass.

Overall, Adrian’s outfit makes for a very springy impression. A pair of Gap khakis and a lightweight Charles Tyrwhitt shirt with rolled sleeves pull together a look that is comfortable, yet classy.
