THE NEWS

  • A collaborative art project sponsored by the Dean’s Office — called an “exquisite corpse” — is appearing on the back cover of “Volume” magazine Monday morning.
  • In an effort to increase on-campus security, security guards in Yale buildings will start scanning Yale IDs to make sure that they are valid, and the University is nixing the colorful ID stickers they usually provide at the start of each semester. And while some students worry that their IDs will appear void when shown at off-campus locations, administrators have no plans in place to replace the current cards.
  • While some students said they noticed significant delays in the posting of fall semester grades, the Registrar’s Office maintains that any perceived hold-up was not a result of a system-wide problem, but was instead caused by delays on the part of specific professors.
