Four Yale alumnae — two from the Law School and two from the School of Management — made Forbes Magazine’s annual “100 Most Powerful Women” list, published every August. PepsiCo CEO and Yale Corporation fellow Indra Nooyi SOM ’80 was the highest ranked Eli, at No. 3. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton LAW ’73 came in at No. 36, followed by Harvard Management Company president Jane Mendillo SOM ’84 at No. 37. Rounding out the list at No. 55 was Sonia Sotomayor LAW ’79, who became the nation’s newest Supreme Court justice in August. The rankings represent both the women’s visibility in the media and size of the organization or country that the women lead.
