Salaries for full professors at Yale are the fourth-highest in the nation, according to a report published Monday by the American Association of University Professors. Yale’s average salary of $174,000 — up from $165,000 the year before — places it behind only professors at Harvard, Stanford and Princeton universities. Associate professors at the University earn an average salary of $99,800, according to the report, while assistant professors earn $86,000. Both figures are up from data collected in the 2007-’08 academic year, when associate professors earned an average of $91,300 per year and assistant professors earned an average of $81,600.
