The Goldman Sachs Foundation and the Institute of International Education named Levent Tuzun ’11 one of 16 United States Goldman Sachs Global Leaders, Ezra Stiles College Master Stephen Pitti said Wednesday. The program awards 150 college sophomores $3,000 and gives them the ability to apply directly to Goldman Sachs for research or nonprofit funding later in their careers. Tuzun will travel to New York City at the end of the month for an awards ceremony and an interview for one of 75 positions as a representative of the global leaders at the Goldman Sachs Global Leadership Institute in July. “I’ve always considered myself lucky to make it to Yale as an international student from thousands of miles away,” Tuzun said. “To be chosen to represent my university in an area I’m training myself in is a great honor.”
