Five Yale undergraduates are temporarily homeless after a fire wreaked havoc on their off-campus apartment. The fire, which was contained to one room on the third floor, broke out at their apartment on 33 Edgewood Ave. at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Because of water damage, the students are not allowed to live in the apartment, but were told by the landlord that they would hopefully be able to return to their apartment within the next couple of days. Until then, they said they plan to stay with friends. Besides the five students, the landlord and his wife also live in the house. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
