Briefly: Native American conference honors alums

The University honored two alumni for their work with Native Americans on Saturday, bestowing the Henry Roe Cloud medal on Chris McNeil GRD ’75 and Fred Danforth ’73 as part of the second annual Henry Roe Cloud conference celebrating Native American life at Yale. The conference in honor of Cloud — the University’s first Native American graduate — featured speeches from professors of American history at the University of Texas–Dallas and the University of California–Santa Cruz along with a keynote address from Union Theological Seminary President Serene Jones.
