Three aldermen from Yale-affiliated districts recognized 12 Yale students in Thursday night’s Board of Aldermen meeting for the Elis’ get-out-the-vote efforts in last Tuesday’s election.

Ward 1 Alderwoman Rachel Plattus, Ward 2 Alderwoman Gina Calder and Ward 22 Alderman Greg Morehead honored students from Yale for Change, Alpha Phi Alpha, the Black Student Alliance at Yale and other campus organizations who phone-banked and canvassed neighborhoods in New Haven, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania in the days and weeks leading up to the election. Rodney Reynolds ’10 was recognized for providing snacks and beverages to voters waiting in long lines at the Troup School Polling Place.
