A team of Yale students is currently preparing for the world’s largest computer programming competition, the 33rd annual IBM-sponsored Association for Computing Machinery International Collegiate Programming Contest. The team will participate in a decisive regional round of problem-solving this Saturday, whose results will determine which team will win a spot on the World Finals Roster. The regional test will require teams to use their programming skills to solve real-world computer programming challenges in five hours — equivalent to a semester’s worth of computer programming in one afternoon.
