The Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project met with Office of New Haven and State Affairs Vice President Bruce Alexander ’65 on Wednesday. YHHAP discussed efforts to raise funds for the city’s sole overflow shelter, which provides support for homeless during the winter. YHHAP and homeless support advocacy group Inside at Night later said they require at least $90,000 more in funds to run the shelter from mid-November to May. Inside at Night head Edward Mattison said Alexander is “very interested” in the groups’ efforts. ONHSA could not be reached for comment Thursday night.
