Briefly: Graduate student and friend mugged on campus

The intersection of College and Crown streets was the site of a robbery of a graduate student and his friend this weekend. Four males approached the pair at around 12:47 a.m. on Sunday and demanded their money. Yale Police Department Chief James Perrotti wrote in an e-mail to the Yale community Sunday that no one was hurt in the incident, although he did not specify whether there were any weapons involved. This is the first crime alert e-mail Perrotti has sent since the start of the semester.

Hmm… compare this with the other reported crime, where a somewhat detailed description is given of an alleged shoplifter.

HERE, where a description might actually MATTER (such that future alleged victims might avoid a crime), no description is included.

Since the race of the muggers wasn't given, the YDN might as well shout "persons of color". Interesting system of hinting at what we want to know, you sly devils!
