The tailgate for the Harvard-Yale game will be held in the parking lot at 175 N. Harvard St., about one-third of a mile from the entrance to Harvard Stadium, Harvard administrators announced today.

The tailgate was moved from its original location at Ohiri Field because of “standing water” caused by several days of rain. The new location is adjacent to McCurdy Track, another Harvard athletic facility.

According to the official tailgate Web site, space limitations at the new location mean that the tailgates will be more condensed and fewer vehicles will be allowed into the site. Approved tailgate organizers will be allowed into the parking lot from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. to set up.

As originally planned, the tailgate will open to ticket holders and students with a Harvard or Yale College ID at 9:30 a.m.
