Monday’s profile of YCC treasurer candidate Bill Fishel ’08 incorrectly reported Fishel’s involvement with the Freshman Screw dance this year. As chair of the Freshman Class Council, Fishel oversaw budgeting issues for the screw.

The chart accompanying Tuesday’s story “Yale broadens its national reach” inadvertently listed statistics for Maine under the heading for Massachusetts. In 1975, 12 members of the freshman class were from Maine, compared to four in 2004. The 1975 freshman class included 81 students from Massachusetts, compared to 69 in 2004.

In the biographical information accompanying Tuesday’s column “Future of Yale’s Arabic instruction in jeopardy” Jonah Schulhofer-Wohl’s field of graduate study was listed incorrectly. Schulhofer-Wohl is studying political science.
