To the Editor:

I write to express my shock and outrage at the brutal harassment of Katherine Lo ’05, reported in the Yale Daily News (“Student alleges anti-Muslim hate speech, 4/9). This vicious act is the negation of everything a university does, stands for, and aspires to. Those responsible must be rigorously held accountable both by the University and before the laws of the land. Kudos to those students, like Laura Hess ’06, who are standing with Lo and supporting her right to free self-expression.
