Layoffs hit 34 City Hall employees

The weekend was marked by budget constraints, layoffs, program cutbacks — not on Wall Street, but on Church Street, where at New Haven’s City Hall nearly three dozen employees were laid off Friday amid a struggling economy and citywide budget crunch.

Again, if Mayor Destefano depended less on state money and aiding and abetting criminal illegal aliens in his town, those layoffs could have been avoided completly. When is the city of new haven and its employees and citizens going to wake up and smell the coffee. As a former resident of New Haven. I had to get out of town. Mayor Destefano's policies made me want to vomit and still do......
