After carefully considering the full slate of candidates, we enthusiastically endorse Rich Tao ’10 for Yale College Council president. His passion for motivating others is contagious, his vision for outspoken leadership is well timed and his specific plans are spot on — whether forcing administrative accountability as the new colleges are built, working toward gender-neutral housing, revamping senseless dining-hall policies or enhancing study-abroad programs.

In the immortal words of Arden Rogow-Bales (BR '10)-- Katrina's the one. No one else makes any sense.

Landeta's support for gender-neutral housing lost my vote.

Tao also supports gender-neutral housing.

experience vs. change ... the ydn has the smarts to pick both - great job!

tao doesn't have experience - fcc chair, really? i heard he didn't do sh*t and all the other reps had to pick up his slack

he would also fail in the PR role of the president; the other candidates are much more composed

Tao fails in PR? From the videos at http://www.yaledailynews.com/tags/view/Yale%20College%20Council, it seems that he's got way better delivery (not to mention more substance) than any of the other candidates.

Rich is an incredibly hardworking guy- ask anyone who has worked with him. He spent his birthday crafting the Financial Aid survey that resulted in Yale's new policy. That's downright impressive.

Also- post by name, especially if you're going to attack someone

Those are two of the most unsubstantiated comments I have heard in the past two weeks.

#11 By (Anonymous) 7:19pm on April 15, 2008

it's almost offensive how Tao is trying to take credit for the new financial aid policy

When I questioned Rich about the changes in financial aid, he took many steps to keep me personally informed. He actually cares; he not only works hard to keep those in leadership positions well informed, but he also treats his friends the same way.
